Experience the fun and excitement of flying through the skies in an open-cockpit biplane. With less than 100 of these wonderful machines flying world-wide, this aerial adventure in a Waco UPF-7 is something you’ll never forget.
Greet your FAA Certified Pilot for a quick safety briefing, then buckle up, strap on your helmet, and get ready for take-off. Feel the wind on your face as you leave the ground and head for the skies just like a 1940s flying ace.
You’ll cruise over Cocoa Beach and get a bird’s-eye view of the sights below. Check out Merritt Island and watch the sun reflect off the waters of the Banana River. Chat with your pilot over the special 2-way headsets and ask questions about the plane and the views. Or just sit back and enjoy the thrill of flying over beautiful landscapes in a piece of history.

Are there any weight limits?
The maximum combined weight for passengers is 500 lbs.
Are there any age restrictions?
While there is no legal minimum age, the tour provider recommends no younger than 3 years of age for children accompanied by an adult. A child of normal stature for this age will fit safely in the seat belts and be tall enough to take in the view. The child must be able to wear a headset or earplugs due to engine noise. There is no maximum age, as long as you can get into and out of the cockpit. (It requires a little bit of flexibility).
What type of airplane will we be flying in?
You’ll be flying in a Waco UPF-7 open-cockpit biplane.
Can I talk to the pilot during the flight?
Yes, the biplane has an intercom system that allows two-way communication between the pilot and the passengers. Headsets are provided.
Can I bring a camera?
Yes! A camera with a wide-angle lens and strap is perfect. A camcorder is good as long as it is one of the smaller, handheld types.

Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have booked your experience and received confirmation, all bookings for this experience may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 72 hour notice directly to the experience provider. Failure to appear on the booked date, or to reschedule or cancel at least 72 hours prior to the booked date, will result in the loss of the value of the experience. In the event of inclement weather or a maintenance issue leading to the booked date being cancelled, you may reschedule directly with the experience provider.
