What happens on the day
Your one-of-a-kind nighttime journey begins when you meet your expert guide in the Sawgrass Recreation Park. Hop aboard a zippy airboat and get ready to discover the mysterious world of the Florida Everglades.
Featuring a flat, aerodynamic bottom and a fan-like propeller, your airboat can reach speeds of up to 40 mph. You’ll have an absolute blast as your captain expertly maneuvers through miles of wetlands.
Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for the Everglades’ famous living dinosaurs. Your guide will make frequent stops and use a flashlight to search the dark water for alligators. You’ll feel a wave of adrenaline as the light catches the shining eyes of these prehistoric reptiles. You might also spot amphibians, insects, and even turtles!
This 60-minute airboat ride also includes entry into the on-site animal sanctuary! Take a walk on the wild side and come face-to-face with over 50 rescued reptiles including Cannibal, the 1000-pound alligator! You’ll also get to meet friendly turtles, slithery snakes, and a baby alligator. You can choose to visit the sanctuary before your airboat ride or come back the next day.

Are we guaranteed to see a wild alligator?
Florida's alligators are wild and their behavior is unpredictable. While sightings are very common, they are not guaranteed.
Are there any age restrictions?
All ages are welcome! However, kids that are six years old or younger are required to wear a life jacket.
What is included with this experience?
This experience includes a 60-minute airboat ride and entry into the on-site animal sanctuary. You will not be allowed to visit the sanctuary after hours. You must either arrive early or come back the next day during regular business hours.
