What happens on the day
Discover the joy of flying with this introductory flight lesson. Soar above the Hartford skyline, as you take in the scenery and actually get the chance to fly the plane.
This approximately 1-hour lesson will start with a pre-flight inspection of the airplane. Your FAA Certified Instructor will familiarize you with the aircraft and show you how it works. Next, you'll climb on board either a Cessna 172 or a Piper Warrior and taxi down the runway. Your instructor will handle take off and landing, but once in the air... it's all you! During this 30-minute flight, you will learn the basic controls of the aircraft and how to properly maneuver and fly the plane.
Your first flight is truly an exhilarating and unforgettable experience!

- Combined weight of the student and passenger cannot exceed 400 pounds

What if my flight is cancelled due to weather?

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. Cancellation Policy
Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, you may reschedule your experience up to 72 hours prior to the date booked. Failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your flight is cancelled due to inclement weather or maintenance issues, you may reschedule directly with your experience provider.

Very fun experiential gift and thing to do! The instructor was great - competent, thorough, nice, funny, and made it all feel very doable. Recommended especially for anyone into aviation or cars/vehicles or technology or even those who aren't.
Awesome experience. Pilot/trainer Rawad is young but surprisingly knowledgeable and confidence-instilling. The experience was exactly as described, and even for this million mile commercial flyer, it was a thrill and very educational as well. Kudos to Rawad for not only flying effortlessly but for simultaneously conveying the technical background behind the flying in a way i could understand. Just perfect.
