What happens on the day
There’s paddleboarding, and then there’s paddling boarding over mild rapids! Join a thrilling day of adventure in a lush natural landscape during this stand-up paddleboard tour of the Upper Colorado River.
Meet up with professional and friendly rafting guides for a brief course in paddleboarding. You'll learn the proper techniques for tackling rapids, how to keep your balance amidst the rushing white water, and what to do if you fall off your board. Then, it’s time to hit the water! Alternate between standing and sitting on your knees as you tackle the varying sections of the river, from class I-II rapids to the occasional class III.
Bask in the area’s natural beauty! During calmer stretches of river, keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles, deer, beavers, and even a few BigHorn sheep. Float in awe at the verdant meadows, lush forests, rolling ranchlands, and steep cliffs that surround you. Your paddleboard adventure includes time to stroll along the shoreline, explore warm springs, and take a dip in the river—or fall, depending on how you want to tell the story later!
This adventure immerses you in the vibrant landscape of Colorado and is a fantastic way to work your core and improve balance. This activity is accessible to beginners and experts looking for a unique challenge. As you paddle, you'll develop a deeper appreciation for the land and its history. Don’t forget to capture photos and videos of your adventure to share later—just not during the rapids.
Paddle into the perfect day with this paddleboard adventure on the Upper Colorado River!

Customer Reviews
Guides Tanner and Connor were super funny. Colorado River was low which was great for paddle boarding. The big group we went with took a long time to show up but the rest was fun!
