What happens on the day
Adventure awaits on Alameda Bay!
Beginning at the Ballena Isle Marina, you’ll join your expert guide for an intro to kayaking. Learn all the basic paddle strokes before slipping into a double sit-on-top kayak. With an ultra-sturdy design and all the essential gear included, it’s the ultimate ride for paddlers of all skill levels.
With your guide leading the way, you’ll glide along one of two scenic routes (depending on the weather). Paddle past the historic WWII USS Hornet on Alameda’s west end, or explore the scenic two-mile stretch of sand at Crown Memorial State Beach. No matter what, you'll soak in stunning views of the South Bay, San Francisco skyline, and the region’s coastal mountains.
And the cherry on top? If you’re lucky, you might even spot a sea lion swimming beneath the waves or a variety of local seabirds!
