What happens on the day
Experience one of the most unique activities in San Francisco! During this 3-hour lesson, you’ll learn the art of crabbing, all from the picturesque shores of San Francisco Bay.
Your adventure kicks off when you meet your expert guide and instructor near the Golden Gate Bridge. Together, you’ll learn about each piece of equipment and the bay’s unique ecosystem. Then, it’s time to crab!
Standing along the shore (no pesky boats or sea sickness necessary), you’ll carefully toss in your crab snare and bait. The bay is home to a variety of crabs and if you’re lucky, you might just reel in a Pacific Rock Crab or Brown Rock Crab. Your guide will provide instruction on cooking and cleaning your catch. So, you can take it home and enjoy one of the freshest meals around.
No matter what, you’ll admire jaw-dropping views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge – the perfect backdrop for your crabbing adventure!

When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!

- This experience is not recommended for individuals with shellfish allergies
- Catching crabs is not guaranteed
- You are welcome to bring your own food and drink
- Please note that you may be standing for long periods of time, individuals are welcome to bring their own seating

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, all bookings are final. No cancellations or rescheduling requests will be allowed. Failure to appear on your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
