What happens on the day
Let the chopping begin! During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of woodworking and take home a beautiful (and functional) cutting board.
First, you’ll pick out a gorgeous piece of walnut. Then, under the guidance of an expert instructor, you'll learn how to safely operate professional-grade tools including a router table, chop saw, drill press, and various hand tools.
Begin by carefully cutting the walnut to size and adding some decorative touches. Next, you’ll use some elbow grease to hand-sand your cutting board before applying an oil finish. The best part? You can personalize your board using a laser engraver. Draw and etch whatever you want – making the piece uniquely yours!
