What happens on the day
Your evening will begin when you are cheerfully welcomed aboard a spacious 55-foot catamaran. As the boat launches from Pier 39, you can choose to stay outside, relax in the boat’s covered cabin, or lie back on the unique, net-lined 'trampoline deck'.
You’ll be absolutely awe-struck as your catamaran slowly glides past the breathtaking San Francisco skyline. View some of the city’s most iconic landmarks including the Bay Bridge, Coit Tower, the Transamerica Pyramid, and so much more!
Snap a few photos of the city’s reflection in the water before indulging in two complimentary beverages. Select from alcoholic options such as beer and wine or opt for a non-alcoholic beverage. Sip, relax, and feel the bay’s waves gently roll beneath you.
After an hour of sailing past the city’s countless twinkling lights, your wonderful captain will bid you farewell.

What can I expect during this experience?
You can expect to have a great time with friendly people and a professional crew. The goal is to have an amazing time while sailing San Francisco Bay at night.
Will I get seasick?
Probably not. This experience takes place on a spacious and stable catamaran. Most people do not experience seasickness. However, if you are very susceptible, you may want to consider bringing a motion sickness preventative.
What should I bring?
Bring a camera, a valid ID if you are over 21 years old and wish to consume alcohol, an extra layer of clothing, and be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
Are there bathrooms aboard the boat?
There is a bathroom on board, but it is usually restricted for emergencies only. There are bathrooms on Pier 39 and we recommend using the facilities there prior to boarding if necessary.
Will we sail under the Golden Gate Bridge?
This experience unfortunately does not include a trip under the Golden Gate Bridge. You will however cruise past the Bay Bridge, Coit Tower, the Transamerica Pyramid, and so much more!

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
