What happens on the day
Your guide is a local who will take you and your fellow participants to parts of Chinatown that tourists and visitors are rarely fortunate enough to see.
During your leisurely 3-hour walking tour through this unique neighborhood, your guide will take you to restaurants, markets, and alleys where you can sample a wide range of delicious foods and delicacies including Moon Cakes from Eastern Bakery (the oldest one of its kind in San Francisco), Dim Sum, Peking Duck, Shrimp Dumplings, Rice Cakes, Steamed Sesame Balls, and traditional teas brewed as they have been for centuries. Step back in time as you watch fortune cookies being made the way they have been for generations, learn about exotic Asian herbs, traditional produce, and Chinese teas, and browse stalls and stores dealing in fresh and packaged foods, authentic cookware, beautiful pottery, and antiquities.
This tour will awaken all your senses with its range of aromas, fragrances, textures, tastes, and sights that you are unlikely to have experienced before and equally unlikely to forget!
