I am a lady traveling alone and it was a lovely time. From the get go the people were all friendly and well prepared (it made the drives a lot more fun than they would have been otherwise). I met friends from all over the world and we got to enjoy Yousemite. Our guide, Ilene, knew about the landscapes we passed and a lot of the history of the part, she was also a great cook! Everyone pitched in and made for a great time.

What happens on the day
Experience one of the most beautiful national parks in America! With options to camp or stay in the Cedar Lodge, which is nestled just outside of the park.
Day 1
Your tour begins when your guide picks you up in San Francisco where you can view some of the city’s most famous sights before meandering through the rich agricultural Central Valley on your way to the park. Once in Yosemite, you’ll walk through a grove of giant Sequoia trees, some of which are over one thousand years old and measure up to 300 feet tall. Climb the winding route 4,500 feet above sea level to the gorgeous vista at Tunnel View, where you’ll see jaw-dropping views of El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Falls.
Day 2
Enjoy a quick breakfast, pack a picnic lunch, then venture into the beauty of Yosemite. Prepare to spend a full day exploring Yosemite’s picturesque lakes, hiking to mountain summits that overlook lush greenery, and passing through serene meadows.
Day 3
The final day is the perfect opportunity to choose your own adventure in Yosemite. You can hike to a waterfall, rent a bicycle to cruise around the valley floor, check out the visitor’s center, museum, and Ansel Adams Gallery, or relax in the shade by the emerald-green Merced River. Finish off with a visit to the El Capitan Meadow to watch the daredevil rock climbers conquer the largest granite monolith in North America. Then make your way back to San Francisco, arriving around 8:30pm – 9:00pm.

Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!

Important Details
Essential Information
- Complimentary pick up/drop off from the San Francisco Hilton hotel (Mason St. entrance) is included
- Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- For campers, all equipment is provided, with the exception of sleeping bags, which are available for rent
- The hotel is located just outside of the park
- 5 meals are provided (2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 1 dinner)
- Additional meals are available for purchase
- Please note: all non-US residents over the age of 16 will be required to pay an additional $100 fee per person to enter the National Park. This fee will be collected prior to your tour in accordance with the National Park Service’s (NPS) new fee structure implemented on January 1, 2026.
- Non-US residents who have purchased a valid America the Beautiful (ATB) International Pass will be exempt from the additional fee; however, proof of pass is required.
- All US residents must bring a valid photo ID to prove residency

What are the overnight accommodations like?
Guests can choose to camp or stay at the Cedar Lodge which is located outside of the park. Campers will be staying at full-service campgrounds with hot showers and modern facilities. All the equipment you'll need for a comfortable night of camping is provided, except for sleeping bags which are available for rent.
What should I bring?
Bring your own towel, toiletries, water bottle, sunglasses and/or hat, sunscreen, appropriate clothing and footwear (sturdy shoes for hiking), snacks and your camera. There is a store near the campground for incidentals in case you forget something.
Are meals provided?
There are 5 meals included – 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 1 dinner.
What about dietary restrictions?
Please let your experience provider know of any allergies or dietary restrictions to see if accommodations can be made.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience and subject to a cancellation fee. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
