Sea caves, rugged cliffs, and vibrant marine life—the La Jolla Ecological Reserve has it all!
After a quick safety and paddling orientation, you’ll set off aboard a sit-on-top kayak. With certified La Jolla guides leading the way, you'll paddle to all seven of the reserve’s sea caves, including the famous Sunny Jim’s Cave, Arch Cave, and Clam’s Cave.
As you paddle beneath dramatic sandstone cliffs, keep your eyes open for a variety of wildlife. You may spot sea lions, harbor seals, colorful California garibaldi, leopard sharks, and even the occasional dolphin.
