We are locals and didn’t know what to expect. We had a amazing time with our tour guide Johnny! He gave helpful directions regarding operating our boat and had a BLAST out on the San Diego Bay. At the end we could couldn’t stop laughing of how fast and how much fun we were having zipping around the bay. Definitely recommended if you are a local or tourist!

There’s no experience necessary because this adventure begins with a routine safety orientation on boating basics and the rules of the water. Once you’re comfortable it’s time to hop into your F-13 mini speed boat and put the throttle down.
Driving the speed boat is simple and easy. Think of it like driving a go-kart on water. From the moment you leave the docks, your adrenaline hits the roof, and it’s time to really have some fun. You’ll follow behind your expert guide, who will provide an introduction to the beautiful San Diego Harbor via a two-way communication system and point out all the famous sights along this 13-mile journey.

- This tour includes your own F13 mini speed boat, USCG approved life jacket and instruction covering boating basics, rules of the road, tour hand signals, and professionally trained guide leading and narrating the tour
- Total weight on boat may not exceed 450 lbs
- To drive the boat alone, a person must be 18 years old. 16 years & up may drive as long as an adult is in the boat as well
- Due to choppy waters and bouncing along the surface, this tour is not recommended for guests with neck or back problems or a recent surgery. Pregnant woman should not participate.

Is any boating experience necessary?
No previous experience is necessary. This speed boat adventure begins with a routine safety orientation on the basics of boating and the rules of the water.
Are there any weight restrictions?
Each boat may not exceed 450 pounds.
Is there a minimum age to participate?
Children must be at least 5 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian. To drive the boat alone, participants must be at least 18 years of age. 16 & up may drive as long as an adult is accompanying them in the boat.
Is this experience wheelchair accessible?
No, unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible.
What if I get seasick?
Normally seasickness is caused by the slow rolling motion in the ocean. Since the speedboats move along at high speeds it normally doesn’t bother people that are prone to getting seasick.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, you are permitted to either reschedule or cancel up to 7 days prior to the experience. Once you are within 4 - 6 days prior to the experience, you are permitted to reschedule or cancel the experience for a 50% fee of the total experience price. Once you are within 72 hours prior to the experience all bookings are final and no rescheduling or cancellations will be permitted. Failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule or cancel in accordance with these requirements will result in the loss of value of your experience.
