What happens on the day
Bird lovers, this one’s for you! During this 2-hour lesson, your private group will experience the ancient art of falconry – all from the breathtaking cliffs of La Jolla.
Your high-flying adventure begins at the Torrey Pines Gliderport, a jaw-dropping historic landmark overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Here, you’ll meet an expert falconer and a whole flock of new feathered friends.
Get up-close and personal with trained birds while learning how to hold and free-fly them using a falconry glove. Watch in awe as they perform simulated hunting behaviors including swooping, ground-skimming, and diving.
At the same time, you’ll discuss each bird’s flight style, the relationship between bird and falconer, and how you can help birds of prey in your own backyard. Of course, there will also be plenty of time to ask questions and snap photos with these beautiful birds!

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, no cancellation requests will be allowed. Rescheduling requests are allowed up to 48 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, maintenance issues, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
