What happens on the day
California’s redwoods take on a completely different allure when you’re gliding through the enchanting forest by the power of your own two legs. Sit back, take a deep breath, and get ready to experience the rails of the world-famous Redwood Route in an utterly unique way.
Climb aboard your two-person electric railbike and start peddling. Your guide will lead the way down historic tracks that are dappled with sunlight. As the bikes are virtually silent, you’ll be able to hear the birdsong and the breeze as it gently rustles the leaves in the trees. And since you don’t have to worry about steering, you have the freedom to look around as you pedal.
Soak up the awe and majesty of the life that teems inside the redwood forest. Keep your eyes peeled for lounging turtles, playful otters, deer, and maybe even a bear. Travel from Pudding Creek, through the heart of Mendocino County, and into Glen Blair Junction, where you’ll enjoy a 50-minute layover, giving you time to stretch your legs, grab a bite to eat, and explore.
Once you’ve rested up, you’ll hop back on the railbike and peddle your way back to the depot in Fort Bragg, with a heart full of adventure and a head full of unforgettable memories!

Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!

- All riders must be able to walk and should be at least 6 years old
- Minimum height is 31” from hips to floor
- Maximum weight is 250 pounds per rider
- No infants or dogs on this experience
- Helmets are required, you may bring your own or a sanitized helmet will be provided to you
- Please bring water
- Participants must fill out liability waiver
- Riders should be capable of bicycling in a reclining position for 30 minutes at low exertion

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable and casual sports attire appropriate for the season. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Are there any age requirements?
Single Riders must be at least 18 years of age. All riders must be able to walk and should be at least 6 years old.

The minimum height is 31” from hips to floor, and the maximum weight is 250 pounds per rider.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, all bookings are final. Reschedules are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 72 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
