What happens on the day
Sit back, take a deep breath, and get ready to experience the rails of the world-famous Redwood Route in an utterly unique way. This 25-mile bike ride is no joke, so make sure your legs are ready to go when you climb aboard!
Start things off with a scenic hike down through the redwoods to the Noyo River. Your professional guide will help you get acquainted with your bike before hitting the rails. Then you’ll make your way inland down historic tracks that are dappled with sunlight. And since the bikes are virtually silent, you’ll be able to enjoy the solitude of being surrounded by birdsong and the breeze.
Travel past South Fork, Ranch, Redwood Lodge, Grove, and other historic stops, crossing over 12 wooden trestle bridges that offer stunning views of the river below. Later, you’ll pull into Camp Noyo for a well-deserved break. Stretch your legs and grab a bite to eat with the complimentary picnic and refreshments on offer. You can take a swim in the river, relax, or stroll among the redwoods before setting off home.

- Minimum height is 31” from hips to floor
- Maximum weight is 250 pounds (per rider)
- No infants or dogs on this experience
- Helmets are required, you may bring your own or a sanitized helmet will be provided to you
- Please bring water
- Participants must fill out liability waiver
- Riders should be capable of bicycling recumbently for 90 minutes at low exertion

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable and casual sports attire appropriate for the season. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Are there any age requirements?
Single Riders must be at least 18 years of age. All riders must be able to walk and should be at least 6 years old.
Are there any height or weight limits?
The minimum height is 31” from hips to floor, and the maximum weight is 250 pounds per rider.
Do I need to be in good shape for this ride?
This is a strenuous and lengthy trip, requiring excellent mobility to descend to the railbikes.
How long will we actually be pedaling?
The entire experience from start to finish is 4 hours. But the trip is about 90 minutes in each direction, and then there’s a break for lunch. So, you’ll be pedaling about 3 hours total.

Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
