What happens on the day
From sand to surf, get ready to catch the perfect wave in Santa Cruz!
Your adventure kicks off on the sandy shores of Cowell’s Beach, where you’ll meet your CPR, first aid, and lifeguard certified instructor. After gearing up in a wetsuit, you’ll start with a land-based lesson covering ocean safety, surf etiquette, and core skills like paddling, pushing up, and finding your balance.
Then it’s time to hit the water! You’ll ease into the shallows, get a feel for the board, and gradually paddle out to deeper waves. Of course, your instructor will be with you every step of the way, offering tips, encouragement, and plenty of high fives.
This experience is perfect for beginners and thrill seekers alike. And don’t worry if you fall down—another wave is always on the way!

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 7 days prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 7 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, maintenance issues, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
