This ship served in some of the most notorious wars of recent history, including WWII, Korea, and the Cold War. It’s currently one of the most famous museums on the West Coast, providing a detailed look at life aboard a battleship. This tour is led by an expert guide who will bring the explosive history to life.
Crawl along metallic halls, through hatches, and down ladders to the hidden portions of the battleship. As you walk along, marvelling at the engineering wonders that surround you, your guide will take you deep into the ship’s history. You'll hear of its first journey in 1943, how it ferried Roosevelt across the Atlantic in secret, and her third—and final—decommissioning in 1990. They’ll also provide a detailed explanation of battle procedures and the roles fulfilled by history’s bravest soldiers.
