What happens on the day
Ready to make your flying dreams come true? Slip into the pilot’s seat and learn to fly over the vibrant city of Los Angeles!
Your high-flying adventure kicks off at the Van Nuys Airport. With an FAA-certified instructor leading the way, you’ll discover the basics of flying including pre and post-flight duties, route planning, aircraft inspections, and debriefing.
Then. feel a rush of adrenaline as you zip down the runway. While your instructor handles takeoff and landing, you’ll have the chance to take control of the aircraft once it’s high in the sky, allowing you to experience the thrill of soaring on your own.
As you take to the skies, enjoy breathtaking views of LA’s iconic landmarks, including the Hollywood sign, Dodger Stadium, Downtown LA, and even the picturesque Malibu coastline. For the ultimate thrill, consider bringing along a loved one to watch you fly!

When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!

Essential Information
- No experience necessary
- Passengers must be at least 5 years old, and participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- Adults must bring and show a government-issued photo ID
- Students cannot exceed 200 lbs, and the maximum, combined weight for all passengers cannot exceed 370 lbs
- All participants must sign a liability release prior to their flight

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 24 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, maintenance issues, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
