What happens on the day
Buckle up, the Cessna L-19E Bird Dog awaits!
Your adventure begins at a hangar on the southern side of Reno Stead Airport, where you’ll meet your FAA-certified pilot for a pre-flight briefing. After slipping into a protective flight suit, it’s time to hit the runway and take to the skies.
Once airborne, you’ll experience the power and precision of the Cessna L-19E, a historic observation aircraft used to spot enemy positions and mark targets with smoke rockets during both the Korean and Vietnam wars.
After 25 to 30 minutes in the air, you’ll return to the runway with a newfound appreciation for aviation history, and an unforgettable story to share!

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 48 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
