What happens on the day
Buckle up, the Cessna L-19E Bird Dog awaits!
Your adventure begins at a hangar on the southern side of Reno Stead Airport, where you’ll meet your CAF-qualified pilot for a 15 to 20-minute pre-flight briefing. After slipping into a protective flight suit, it’s time to hit the runway and take to the skies. Plus, there's two incredible flight options available:
30-Minute Lap Experience : Enjoy a lap and a half over the Reno Stead airport (approximately 10 minutes of flight), followed by a free tour of the CAF High Sierra Squadron aircraft hangers.
50-Minute Flight Experience : Enjoy 25 to 30 minutes in the air with jaw-dropping views of the surrounding landscapes and Sierra skies.
No matter what, you’ll experience the power and precision of the Cessna L-19E, a historic observation aircraft used to spot enemy positions and mark targets with smoke rockets during both the Korean and Vietnam wars.

When Do I Choose A Date?

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 48 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
