What happens on the day
Explore the gorgeous Verde River by yourself or in the privacy of your own group on this exciting Self-Guided Kayak Adventure!
Meet up with your provider at their boathouse and enjoy roundtrip transportation to the launch site. Or if you’d prefer to limit exposure to others, meet up directly at the TAPCO River Access Point. Hop aboard the inflatable kayak and feel the rush of water and adrenaline as you push off from shore. Dip your paddle into the water and begin to navigate your way down the river’s exciting Class I and II rapids.
Admire the breathtaking landscapes and immerse yourself in nature along the quieter spots of the river. If a location looks enticing, take the time to stop and explore. This is typically a 2-hour journey, but because you’re on your own, you have plenty of time to enjoy the surrounding beauty at your leisure. When you finally reach Tuzigoot at the end of your trip, pull out and meet up with the provider, who will take you back to the boathouse.

Are there age or weight restrictions?
Yes, participants must be at least 5 years of age and 50lbs. Children 12 and under must be in a tandem kayak with an adult.
Do I need any experience?
No experience needed!
What should I wear/bring?
Please wear water shoes, sneakers or other shoes that can get wet and stay on your feet well. (No flip-flops or Crocs.) Swimsuits/swim trunks or light layers are appropriate. Bring drinking water, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, your camera, a towel, and a set of dry clothes to change into after the trip. Lockers are available or dry bags can be purchased on site.
What is provided?
Kayaks, paddles, and personal flotation devices, as well as round trip transportation to and from the launch site are included.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
