For approximately 800 years, the Sinagua people called this area close to Sedona home. During their time inhabiting the area, they created structures for living spaces, community gatherings, and burial grounds. They also made creative pictographs and petroglyphs that offer a glimpse into their lifestyle. Explore all this and more with your knowledgeable and experienced tour guide!
Starting your approximately 3-hour trip in Sedona, your tour guide will share with you some of the rich history of the area. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes because after your awesome open-air Jeep ride to the site, there is also a 45-minute walk included on the tour. While exploring the area, you will see 700-year-old cliff dwellings and learn about how the Sinagua people farmed, hunted, and their complicated trading system. Another interesting fact you will explore with your tour guide is the mysterious disappearance of the group around the 1400s!
By the end of the tour, you are sure to have a new appreciation for the lifestyle the Sinagua people lived and the amazing structures that they were able to create long before the technology of the modern day!

Do I need a car seat for my child?
No! Your experience provider will provide car seats for all children between the ages of 18 months and 4 years. Just let the provider know at the time of booking and they will take care of the rest.
Will we be hiking during this tour?
Yes, you will take a short hike from the Jeep to the ancient ruins to explore the area.
