What happens on the day
National Geographic Traveler magazine named the Denali Highway the #2 “Drive of a Lifetime.” And it’s easy to see why. This 135-mile gravel road was once the gateway to Denali National Park. Surrounded by pristine nature, this stretch of highway is an outdoor lover’s paradise.
On this 4-hour tour you’ll meet up with your guide, who will help you prepare for this exciting excursion in an automatic 4-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Once you get acquainted with the Jeep, it’s time to load up and hit the road.
Communicate with the guide Jeep via CB radio, and listen to their informative narration on your 100-mile round trip adventure. Use the provided binoculars to get an up-close look at Alaska’s spectacular wildlife and scenery like snow-capped mountains, icy glaciers and panoramic views.
Anyone who is 25 years or older is allowed to drive, and there are ample opportunities to stop, admire the views and take stunning photos. Swap out turns driving so everyone gets a chance to ride along and admire the gorgeous Alaskan beauty on this incredible Denali Highway Jeep tour!

- Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult
- Get complementary transportation to and from your Denali lodging
- Guests must sign a liability waiver before participating
- A professionally trained guide will lead the way
- Jeeps are outfitted with 2-way radios for communicating with your guide
- Jeeps are 4-wheel drive with automatic transmission
- Booster seats for children and front facing car seats for babies over 35 lbs are available

Are there age restrictions?
Drivers must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Are there restrooms?
There is a port-a-potty at the Jeep Tour launch site. There are also gas stations and campgrounds along the way with restroom facilities.
Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
The provider tries to be as accommodating as possible. Please let Virgin Experience Gifts know of any mobility issues at the time of booking to see if accommodations can be made.
Do your tours go into Denali National Park?
No. Private vehicles are not allowed past Mile 15 (Savage River) in the National Park. But along the Denali Highway you will get a park experience seeing the same mountains, same animals, same taiga and tundra! Glaciers are easily seen from the road and Denali is often visible (weather permitting).

If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Once within 72 hours, cancellations and reschedules are allowed minus a 25% handling fee. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
