Check in with your experience provider then head out and explore Chugach State Park's glamorous Glen Alps! After an introduction to the elements of snowshoeing or a quick refresher, you'll make your way to the snow-packed trail.
Your guide will lead the pack to cross a creek and drift in between hemlock forests and snow-covered alpine meadows. Learn about Alaska's alpine Hemlock forests and subnivean environment from a skilled naturalist. Stop to admire the untouched beauty around you and take some photos along the way. Look for animal tracks and seek out wildlife like moose, snowshoe hare, and birds. Enjoy the fresh Alaskan air, breathtaking views, and the thrill of walking on snow!

- Not recommended for people with cardiac or respiratory issues or illness
- May be difficult for people with joint issues
- Participants should be able to walk at least 8 miles on flat pavement, or 5 miles of uneven rolling terrain over the course of 4 hours
- Snack, snowshoes, and trekking poles are provided
