What happens on the day
Get ready to experience the thrill of a lifetime as you climb, camp, and sleep in a giant, old-growth tree!
Your overnight adventure kicks off in Silver Falls State Park where you’ll learn the basics of tree climbing from an expert guide. Using top-of-the-line harnesses, ropes, and helmets, you’ll practice on smaller trees before hiking into the ancient forest. Following your guide, you’ll hike approximately 45 minutes to a beautiful and secluded campsite. Only, you won’t be sleeping on the ground – you’ll rest and recharge IN the tree!
Feel a wave of excitement as you plant your feet and begin to climb. The higher and higher you go, the better the views become. But don’t worry, you don’t have to sleep at the very top if you don’t want to. With the help of your guide, you’ll set up camp anywhere from 30 to 280 feet above the ground.
For a cozy night’s sleep, you’ll be equipped with a personal hammock, sleeping bag, pad, and pillow. Listen to the sounds of the forest as you stare up at a sea of stars. Of course, you’ll also be treated to an incredible, in-tree dinner and breakfast – now that’s what we call a meal with a view!

What should I bring?
We recommend you bring a reusable water bottle, and snacks to enjoy at the top of the canopy and during the climb. Binoculars, GoPros, cameras and phones can also be used once in a secure location
Is tree climbing safe?
Tree climbing has intrinsic risk factors, like any recreational activity, but it also offers great opportunity. Safety is the provider's number one priority. Your experience provider outfits climbers with mandatory helmets, harnesses, safety glasses, foot loops and ascenders, all of which meet international climbing standards.
Is tree climbing harmful to the forest?
No, this experience is non-invasive to the trees, nothing ever goes into the trees, no screw, nails, or bolts.
Won't I be able to fall while sleeping at night?
No, the portaledge and hammocks are made so it would be extremely difficult to accidentally fall out. But even if you did, people still wear a small comfy harness that is tied to a separate main safety rope. So there is no chance you would fall while sleeping.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, maintenance issues, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
