What happens on the day
Ditch the playground sand digger and spoil your family with a day at the world’s first heavy equipment playground!
Your incredible Kids Dig Excavator Experience will begin with a brief safety overview. Your child will be equipped with their very own hard hat and yellow vest before heading out into the dig zone. A professional instructor will show you and your family all of the machine’s levers and buttons, and before you know it, your child will be digging the biggest hole ever.
Using a joystick-style hand control, watch as your child effortlessly pushes the excavator’s bucket into the sand, scoops up dirt, and dumps it back out. Make it a competition and see who can create the biggest hole. They'll be digging, smiling, and laughing all session long!
At the end of their dig, celebrate all of their hard work and take home a badge of completion that they can show to all of their friends. Before you leave, don’t forget to snap a photo of them on their impressive, 1-ton earth separating excavator.

What can I expect during this experience?
Your child can expect to have a great time operating a Caterpillar 1-ton earth separating excavator. The goal is to dig, scoop, and have fun!
What should I wear? Will I get dirty?
Closed toe shoes are required to participate. Otherwise, wear clothing that is comfortable and weather appropriate. You might get a little dust on your shoes, but unless you want to lie down and roll in the dirt, you’ll leave squeaky clean.
Can my friends and family watch?
Yes! There are two dedicated areas for spectators to watch and take photos.
What if I don't speak or understand English?
All instruction is given in English. However, our experience providers are more than happy to allow an interpreter out into the field to assist with this experience. If you plan on bringing an interpreter, please contact Virgin Experience Gifts prior to booking to ensure your needs can be met.
Can my child operate the machine by themselves?
For this experience, children must be at least 2 years old. Children between the ages of 2-5 can operate the excavator with assistance from a parent or guardian. Individuals older than 5 can operate independently as long as they are 48” or taller.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, maintenance issues, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
