What type of food is served?
The cruise features all-you-can-eat dinner buffets with delicious choices prepared on board by the executive chef and their galley staff. With advance notice, special meals for guests with allergies can be arranged.

We recommend casually stylish attire such as nice pants or jeans, polos, button-down shirts, and sundresses or skirts. Although allowed, we strongly discourage t-shirts, casual jeans, shorts, and sneakers.

Yes! Children of all ages are welcome during this experience! Children under the age of 3 sail for free.
Can you tell me a little about the ship?
The ship is spaciously designed with three climate-controlled interior decks, outdoor strolling decks at the bow and stern, and the largest outdoor patio deck in Chicago topside. It is handicap accessible and Coast Guard approved for up to 600 passengers. Amenities include full-service bars, two dance floors (or staging areas), spacious bathrooms, flexible seating arrangements and huge, panoramic windows.
Can food allergies be accommodated?
Some food allergies can be accommodated during dinner. Please let you experience provider know directly should you need any accommodations!
Do you sail in inclement weather?
Absolutely. The ship is fully enclosed and climate-controlled for your comfort. It sails rain or shine year-round. However, the fireworks show is weather dependent.

If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, all bookings are final. No cancellations or rescheduling requests will be allowed. Failure to appear on your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.

Though a foggy, drizzly, cold day, once we got on the Spirit we had a nice time - good choices at the buffet (later when putting out the desserts, they kept a few dinner choices out for those who still wanted dinner) - DJ music kept dancers enjoying themselves on the dance floor - fireworks were spectacular - once the city lighted up, we had a beautiful view of the skyline!
Our children gave this cruise to us for last Christmas. Originally this was to be for the Odessey but found out that the Odessey did not sail on the day we needed. We also found the Spirit of Chicago to be better for our needs. We are of the age that we have experienced lots of "linen tablecloth dinners" in our lives and that we'd rather see fireworks on Lake Michigan. We've have lived around Chicago our whole lives and have had many boats, in which to come out and see the fireworks; but right now we are between boats, but still got to come out and see the fireworks of the shores of Navy Pier. A wonderful experience. Everyone was very friendly, the weather was beautiful, the lake was flat. Any everyone on the top deck was saw that show, not talking and very few smoking. We would come again and recommend the experience to all we see. The food at the buffet was better than expected.
