First of all, we booked our Captain Cook’s snorkeling adventure last minute, and received a call from Virgin Experience to alert us that the date and time that we selected was not available, but she was able to get us in the next day (which actually worked out better for us). She was extremely friendly and kind and I appreciated her excellent customer service. The entire staff at Sea Quest was amazing and embodied the aloha spirit of Hawaii from the moment we checked in and throughout the excursion. They made sure that we were comfortable on the boat and made sure we were safe during snorkeling. They treated us to island treats and stories of Hawaiian myths and culture, and we were lucky enough to encounter spinner dolphins and manta rays! All in all an incredible experience!

Your 3-hour tour begins when you climb aboard a custom-made boat and make your way to the historic Kealakekua Bay, named one of the world’s best snorkeling destinations. Hug the coastline and soak up the views of culturally significant and geologically fascinating features along the way.
When you arrive at the bay, a 315-acre marine sanctuary, pause for a moment to take in the beauty of these crystal-clear waters that are watched over by the monument to Captain James Cook. Then don your snorkeling gear and dive in!
After a full hour of snorkeling, climb back onto the boat to enjoy a refreshing snack while your captain skillfully maneuvers along the base of Hualali, Hawaii’s 3rd youngest volcano. Explore sea caves and lava tubes, while keeping an eye out for marine life like dolphins, whales, and sea turtles. You may even spot a herd of goats playing on land.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
