Sunset Catamaran Cruise in Pier 39 - San Francisco

SO BEAUTIFUL! It was a little chilly but we got to sail around the bay and see the sun set. We passed Alcatraz and headed straight to the bridge for the best photos. This is a must do if you’re in town!

Really enjoyable cruise, well run, polite staff, great experience all the way around!

Adventure Cat was really flexible with us when we suddenly had something come up on the day of our original booking. I called and they easily switched me to another day with no questions asked! The boat itself was beautiful and very spacious. We went on a weekday and they said the boat was at ½ capacity, however there were no seats left within the cabin. So I would be wary about booking it on a weekend because you may be standing the entire ride. They had nice snacks and a good selection of drinks - beer, cider, wine as well as non alcoholic drinks like soda or hot tea. The cruise was amazing - you get beautiful pictures of the bay and the crew walks around and offers to take a picture for you which was really nice. Overall it was an amazing experience and I would definitely go again!!

We had an incredible time for my husband's birthday! Beautiful view, great service, perfect snacks and drinks available! It was a nice evening, but even so, it was VERY cold on the water. Luckily they provided large jackets for anyone that needed one, but come prepared. Great value and the perfect amount of time on the water.

Our sunset catamaran cruise was a blast! Such a beautiful and fun time, and the overall experience and crew were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to others. Worth the money and time!

A very pleasant and enjoyable trip. The crew were relaxed and not intrusive. Played nice music, provided tasty food and drinks and just allowed us to roam about and enjoy the trip and meet new people. They did mention once that whales had been spotted, and sure enough looking out the peep hole I glimpsed a blow hole emerging from the water. The added touch of providing jackets was a classy insight on their part. Even though it was extremely hot weather, once we hit the gate it was very very cold. Kudos to that caring touch. I highly recommend this catamaran sunset trip.

It was even better than I had anticipated that it would be. I know San Francisco and the Bay, and this was a wonderful experience even for the non-tourist.

We had a great time aboard Adventure Cat sailing around the Bay. Very helpful and approachable crew. Was the highlight of our visit. Would recommend without hesitation.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. It felt like a fun trip with friends, rather than a touristy attraction.

Highly recommend. Very easy to get to the pier and board the catamaran. There were extra jackets on board and much-appreciated. The food and drinks were appropriate for a cruise. The crew did not give any guidance as to what we were viewing (Alcatraz or Golden Gate Bridge). I think it would be better to have a brief overview before leaving the pier as what to see and what to expect. However, it was nice not having to listen to a bunch of talk and could just enjoy the view and cruise.

The weather was great. The drinks & appetizers were good, & we had a blast.

Great experience and a lot of fun. My only recommendation would be to either not serve red wine on the boat or have it in a larger cup or a bottle where it can be closed off. Once people took red wine onto the deck of the boat, it was very windy and the wine was flying everywhere, covering some people's clothes in red wine.

Although this was a sunset cruise, we didn't really see a sunset due to the marine layer (fog). However, the fog made it that much more mystical as we passed by the Golden Gate Bridge. We enjoyed the entire trip and the crew, and others on board were all very nice. The drinks and appetizers were plenty for the short 1.5-hour trip. Really great views of the city, bridge and Alcatraz. We loved it.

My only wish is that it would have started a smidge later so we could really watch sunset. We were a tad early and it didn't set until after we got back

The Sunset Catamaran Cruise was truly a delightful and unique way to see San Francisco. Although I've been living in the Bay Area for over 4 years and have been to San Francisco countless times, this cruise provided a "getaway" feel without having to travel very far. There were 25 others on the boat with us, which was much smaller than I expected and made it more intimate and personal. We went in early November, and we lucked out with a clear sky and unobstructed view of all the sights. We spent most of our time outside the cabin to get the best views - it was cold, but we were prepared with hats and gloves. The only downside was that we had just my boyfriend's phone to take photos with, and it's a little scary handling a tiny phone when most of the floor is netting that would allow a phone to fall through into the water. I'd highly recommend bringing a camera with a neck strap, or at least a wrist strap - and if you get someone else to take your photo, make sure they use the strap! I also recommend that ladies NOT wear heels, as that pretty much rules out walking across the nets (comfortably at least). I was wearing heeled boots so I mostly hung out by the edges where there was solid floor. The complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drinks were a nice touch - they weren't strict about the drink limit (no tickets or anything to keep track), and no one abused that. All in all, my boyfriend and I were thoroughly impressed with how the cruise turned out and highly recommend it to others!

I had called two different times because my husband couldn't make up his mind. Both times it was wonderful - very efficient. The boat trip was awesome! There were 5 of us and we all loved it.

The staff and captain were great! We had a great trip and we did go under the golden gate and "floated" there to take plenty of pics and absorb the beauty! This was a great trip!

Unfortunately the fog rolled in as we were leaving so we didn't get to see as much as we would have hoped. But the crew was awesome and we still had a great time.

This was a gift from my kids for Christmas. And it was my husband first time in the water. He went from hanging on to the rail for his life to hanging out on the back of the boat.. A great trip.. Thank you Diana

The water was real rough however everything else was great.

We were on a cruise which included the America's Cup races and did not know what to expect. The directions to the catamaran were very confusing and the location was very remote. The ride was great, the people were friendly. There wasn't any food available and they looked at our tickets like they were a foreign language. However they tried to recover and offered us what ever drinks we would want. The catamaran ride was great fun. Tom Walters

Part adventure, part romance, really fun catamaran trip. We hadn't been sailing before but sunset in the Bay was amazing. We were lucky to be on the smaller boat with funny and entertaining crew, and be prepared to get a little wet if you go to the front of the boat =]

We enjoyed a wonderful sunset sail on the bay on a gloriously clear evening. We're San Francisco residents, and this was a rare chance to get out and experience the city from a new perspective. (Thanks for the gift, Jacqualine!)

My last experience with cloud nine was problematic.This time it was flawless! Great communication, good reminders, maps, and service. Our trip under the Golden Gate Bridge was spectacular! Friendly crew, good eats, and beautiful views.
