Dinner Cruise in San Francisco

The San Francisco Dinner Cruise was perfect from start to finish. We were celebrating our anniversary. We had great seating at the rear of the ship completely surrounded by windows. The dinner options all sounded great... salmon, lamb, chicken or vegetarian. We both opted for lamb which was delicious! Dorothy, our waitress, was a delight. She was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We took the cruise on June 21 which was a beautiful summer evening with daylight for much of the time. We would recommend this to anyone who wants the unique experience of sightseeing while dining.

My wife and I chose a San Francisco Bay dinner cruise, which we took Sun April 30th. Booking with the aid of [Cloud 9 Living rep] Chelsea Boxall was an easy and pleasant task. The cruise was very enjoyable thanks to perfect weather, good food, and a friendly, competent crew. I would highly recommend this experience.

My first time on a romantic cruise, loved it so much will be booking it again. Loved the food, and the ship tour around San Francisco -- it was amazing.

Loved the food, dj, music, dance floor. Our waitress (Kim) was amazing! Loved her energy, always checked in on us. Made sure we enjoyed our food and even got us on the dance floor. Loved this experience!

It was the best time I've ever had in my life, I didn't expect that! Wow so amazing, I love the Bay Area.

We did this for our 25th anniversary and were happy with the venue. It was a good experience.There were only two things that were a bit disappointing. The first was when we booked our cruise with Cloud 9 Living it did not specify what date was booked, and therefore had to call to make make sure we had the date we wanted. A little confusing. Also we felt for the reason of an anniversary, the seating could be a little more spread out (not a romantic feel at all). But for the most part it was fine.

Hornblower dinner cruise was a very great romantic setting. The food was just so delicious, and we couldn't have asked for more. We both had a great time and would love to do it again. This was a birthday gift that I had bought for my boyfriend a long time ago, and it was long overdue. It was definitely worth every penny. Thank you all for the great service!

The dress code was very clearly written in the booking, yet there were many people that did not adhere to the dress code and were still allowed to board. This was a bit disappointing since we really went through some effort to really comply with the dress code.

Overall it was a lovely dinner cruise. Just the right length of time and the food was just spectacular. We were a small party (2) and were seated in the middle of the vessel. There were several large parties near us and they seemed to get expert service. We did not. Our waiter took a long time to acknowledge us and had to be asked more than once to bring us water -- then chided us that there was a drought (!) when he finally brought it. We waited so long for our drinks that we almost decided to go to the bar and reorder them, and our coffee was brought long after our dessert was finished. (He forgot my husband's coffee, then apparently grabbed a cold one off another table to bring to him -- yuck!). When asked about a menu item, he didn't know what it was, but to his credit, he did go and find out. Meanwhile, we watched the expert service the large party next to us received, and speculated that Hornblower perhaps considered them to be more important and so gave them the more experienced waiter? That was the only damper on what was otherwise a really fun experience: great food, wonderful music, perfect pacing. We would definitely recommend this cruise to friends, especially if they're new to the area.

Andy (the tour guide) was great. He kept our interest the entire tour. Very knowledgeable young man.

This was definitely worth every penny! I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday as well as celebrating our anniversary! He loved it, I loved it... it was such an amazing experience. We enjoyed it so it so much we were outside on the boat in the rain taking it all in, not a care in the world! The music was on point and was perfect for a romantic evening (live jazz/blues, singing, & music tracks you could request). Our server, Kim, was so genuine and welcoming that we both gave her a hug when it was all over. The food was far from mediocre which was unexpected. I thought it would be ok, but it was actually full of flavor and really satisfying. We had such a wonderful time, we're definitely going to go again and bring some friends with us!

I truly enjoyed this experience. Im a native San Franciscan and had never been up underneath the Golden Gate Bridge or seen the Bay Bridge at night and the entire coast area of the bay in that way. So this was so beautiful and the timing of it was impeccable. The food was delicious, the 2 piece jazz ensemble called the Cruise Brothers were great, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The night we went there were people getting married on the ship, some were proposing to each other, and some were celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, so the atmosphere was very beautiful and sweet, and love is in the air. I'd read previous reviews that talked about having loud music but for my visit this was not the case it was at a nice level and just a genuinely good time. I'd recommend this for lovers who want to do something romantic with the ones they love OR good friends who just want to get away and do something different and enjoy themselves away from the city for a minute. The views are breathtaking and its such eye popping experience with all that you get to see out there. So my recommendation is to GO GO GO!!! at least once you won't regret it.

The staff atmosphere and food were all very good. We really enjoyed the whole experience of the cruise.

Super fun! Loved going under the bridges and visiting AT&T park from the water side. Food was okay and staff were awesome!

I booked this trip for a birthday celebration and it was something neither of us will ever forget. It was Romantic and fun and amazing views of the bay. The boat was beautiful and ride was mostly very smooth. Food was fantastic and we had lots of food to eat. Drinks were tasty and strong. Service was spectacular. My boyfriend and I will never forget going under the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges. I think that the boat wasn't overcrowded too. At one romantic point under the bay bridge my boyfriend and I had the now of the boat to ourselves. Even on the dance floor there were other people dancing, but the whole night felt like it was set up especially for us. I loved that we had our own table and could leave my purse and run out on deck for pictures. So so so romantic and wonderful. Parking also was easy. I have nothing but great things to say. Plus, we have already booked another cloud 9 experience because we were so happy. Thanks!

Our server, Paul, was wonderful. So kind and polite and quite funny! :) Definitely a keeper.

The music on the sunset dinner cruise was too loud, it hurt my ears and it was hard to have a conversation. This was the only thing that i could complain about, though.

The food was not great and gave me bad stomach problems the next day. The boat tour itself was fun.

Overall experience was great with spectacular view of the bay. The food could have been better but it was more like "airplane food." I would definitely recommend this entire experience. We personally would love to do something like this again as with the request of better food. Thanks.

It was at about 10-15% occupancy. Everyone sat right next to each other, which was fine I guess. We made friends with the couple to our left. But the “DJ and dancing” part was non existent. The music wasn’t good and no one was dancing, probably because there wasn’t many of us to begin with. The food was mediocre. The staff was VERY nice though and the views were beautiful. My husband and I are in our mid 30s, so I’d say it was probably geared toward a much older crowd. I’m giving it 2 stars because for the price, it was not worth it. I feel like we could have spent our $330 at a nice restaurant with a better vibe.

Food quality was OK. Service was good by our waiter. Boat was 20 minutes late loading, no one said a thing. Had the feeling I was being chiseled out of cash every time I turned around. They required an upgrade if I wanted the requested window seat. But everyone had a window seat. I would have been really pissed if I had signed up for that upgrade. Or the champagne upgrade that the guy next to us paid for, and they didn't have the Hornblower flutes to take home. Or the chocolate upgrade in the gold box that had maybe 7.00 worth of chocolate in it. They had a new menu for over a week and we received the old menus? On a positive sign, the boat did not sink. When we departed, the pilot said he would point out places of interest. He did 3 times (...this is San Francisco Bay, how about some back story...).

The food was terrible, the music too loud and the place for dancing insufficient for all the persons.

The ship/boat was like a 100 years old floating bathtub, it was nothing like in your promo video. When we saw it, we almost got cold feet. Inside was hot, no oxygen. If we could leave we would after the first 15 minutes. The food gets 3stars from 5, it was avarage. Our waitress was very friendly. I give just 1star because our happiest moment was when we left, and we could breath again. This was our anniversary dinner.:( I recommend you to check better what you sell.
