Sea Caves Kayak Tour in La Jolla

The kayak outing was really great. There are multiple kayak rental and guide companies in that area, and we had a nice, low-key company and small group, with a wonderful guide, compared to some huge groups that were out there at the same time on a Saturday morning.

Amazing kayak tour. Saw a ton of animals. Josh and Nathan are the best tour guides. Don't forget to wear sunscreen! I burned my feet pretty badly.

We received this experience as a gift from our son. We had a tandem kayak, and they had helmets and life vests for us. Lockers available. Well organized, educational, and fun! Jessie and John made a great team of tour guides. I would highly recommend this to others.

Guides were kind, knowledgeable, and always focused on safety. They cannot guarantee going in the caves, but if there is a way to safely see them, they will absolutely make it happen! We had a great time!

It naturally was exhilarating for me. Both tour guides, Emily and Frankie were simply super with care for our safety and had great interesting facts about the caves and the wildlife there. It was one of the most fun things I've done. I never ocean kayaked before and so was a bit hesitant at age 71. A tandem kayak with one of my great sons reassured me and the good instruction from Emily and Frankie.

We were the only people on the tour, so we had the best time! The guide was very knowledgeable and made the entire trip magical! Best part of the vacation!

Incredible sea kayaking adventure! We saw sea lions, lots of really cool sea birds, and even a pod of dolphins! We went into one sea cave and saw a juvenile sea lion just hanging out. Our guide was really knowledgeable about the area and we learned a lot and had a great time. It was a bit chilly though, so recommend you bring a long sleeve DRI-fit shirt. They have lockers there, but they cost $8 and there is no where else to leave your car keys, towels, etc.

Fun experience. Two hours was just enough time to explore but not get board of the kayak. We were allowed to go inside one cave. However, there were alot of people on different tours so we didn't get to spend much time inside the cave. It was beautiful though! La jolla is a beautiful place and we enjoyed exploring the area after kayaking.

Amazing kayak trip - informative, entertaining and safe tour guides. Beautiful scenery including an opportunity to paddle into a cave. First time sea kayakers and we did fine. Weather did not allow us to go out on our planned day but La Jolla Kayak timidly with the communications and made rebooking easy.

Emma and Sam did an amazing job! Super fun, we even saw dolphins! Definitely going to do this again.

Very exciting experience! Lots of wildlife to see. The caves are beautiful but a little difficult to get in and out of. Our guides, Sam and Emma, took good care of us.

It was a birthday present for my sister and we had an amazing time.. we are both over 50 .. I'm closer to 70 and our guides .. Jake and Ryan were amazing, We had never been in a kyak before and it was one of the best things I have done so far. I want to do this again .. In fact it inspired me to buy a kyak. If I could give this 10 stars I would .. especially to our guides .. skilled and knowledgable people.

The kayaking tour was excellent! Sam and Anna were our tour guides. They were very kind and knowledgeable about La Jolla, sharing lots of fun information about the local marine life, and nearby natural and man-made structures.

It was a great experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining and got us quickly on the water. The caves were impressive but unfortunately we didn't get to kayak inside of them as the waves were too strong. Still, we had a lovely time!

Lendon and Spencer were knowledgeable, very aware of what was safe, and very fun!

Had an amazing experience that was really made by our amazing guide Flynn! His knowledge, friendliness and trivia information on the tour made the experience better than we could have hoped for. A had a great time.

La Jolla kayaking was amazing! Our guide Henry was just terrific - very cool and lots of fun. The whole shop was very accommodating and had dressing rooms to change into or out of your water gear. Tides didn’t allow us to go safely into the sea caves but we got a good look at them and Henry made sure we had an awesome time anyway with lots of sea life sightings.

The staff was great! We had so much fun we didn’t want it to end.

Great Adventure! The guides were knowledgeable and emphasized safety & skills to make sure everyone in our group felt comfortable. We kayaked to the caves (swell was too large to go inside), visited the giant kelp beds, learned a lot about geology and marine life, and even saw some sea lions. Definitely recommend this trip for the adventurous type! Note: The surf was high the day we took our tour. Guides were helpful with participants who needed help getting their kayaks past the surf on the way out.

This really was an awesome experience. Our guide Garrett was very knowledgeable. We saw seals and dolphins. Unfortunately we did not go near the waves due to the winds.

This was a lot of fun. The guide was great, except that upon looking up information after the fact that the guide suggested we do, we learned some of the info was just plain wrong. This makes one wonder about the rest of the info. Fun times, though.

This was our first time using Cloud 9 Living and kayaking. We had a great time and look forward to kayaking again. Our next trip may be hot air ballooning in Temecula.

We went kayaking in La Jolla coves. It was all very easy. Mike and Greg were great guides. They were very attentive. The tour itself was wonderful. Nothing like kayaking on the Pacific. In terms of the booking process, it was pretty easy. My wife booked originally, and then I got a call later that day. We needed to change our original booking because there was no space. We re-booked easy-peasy. The woman I spoke to said I would receive an email confirmation. I never did, but the next email I did receive was to let us know another appointment was available on our original date. With that confirmation everything went very fast. The one other thing was that when we got to the kayak location, they had two reservations for us. Exactly the same but two. It was an easy fix.

Austin and Courtney were fantastic. Even though we didn't get to go into the caves due to the water conditions, it was still a fantastic tour. The two of them are very knowledgeable of the area and all of the different things you see on the tour. I would definitely go on another tour again.

We had a wonderful time! From booking through Cloud 9 Living to the finish of our experience, everything went very smoothly (besides falling off the kayak on the wave in!). Would definitely recommend the kayaking to anyone looking for an adventure on the water; the guides were great! And I recommend Cloud 9 Living to anyone asking me how I come up with such unique experiences. Thanks!
