On this tour, you will travel both by foot and by safe and scenic rails, riding between stops on the Metro Gold Line. The Metro Gold Line has been acclaimed by the LA Times as the "Miss Universe" of the local rail system. This exciting tour will take you through Boyle Heights where you will experience Mariachi Plaza, the grand attraction of the neighborhood.
You will be treated to 8 tastings along the way including traditional handmade foods - some of which originated south of the border over 100 years ago. You will enjoy a unique medley of fresh, amazing Latin flavors that are extraordinarily prepared.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have scheduled a date and have received a booking confirmation, all bookings are final and no cancellations will be allowed. You may reschedule up to 7 days prior to your scheduled date. This may be subject to a 25% rescheduling fee and the rescheduled date must be to a date within 60 days of the original tour date.

My husband and I enjoyed this experience and learned a lot. Our guide also said she learned things and had new experiences that she'd never had before. We enjoyed tasting the various foods and getting a chance to ride around on the Gold Line Downtown for the first time. We couldn't believe that all these places were in Boyle Heights and that it's so close to Downtown L.A. Our guide was super. She knew a lot about the history of early California. She'd called ahead to the places where we had samples to eat and they were ready when we got to them.
History of area seemed limited. Food was OK, not exceptional.
