What happens on the day
Grab a hammer and a glass! This one-of-a-kind experience combines the fiery art of blacksmithing and the craft of whiskey-making—right in the heart of Brooklyn.
At the Fort Hamilton Distillery, you’ll explore the ins and outs of whiskey production and barrel aging. Along the way, you’ll taste four exceptional whiskeys (including one straight from the barrel), along with gin and barrel-aged maple syrup. Finally, you’ll even get to bottle your own premium whiskey and take home two Hamilton Glencairn glasses.
But the adventure doesn’t end there! Discover how to transform metal into a one-of-a-kind bottle opener in Brooklyn’s Industry City. You'll begin with a safety briefing and an introduction to the tools and techniques used in blacksmithing.
Next, you’ll experience the thrill of working with hot metal as you hammer, bend, and twist it into shape. By the end, your stylish creation will be ready to take home and crack open a cold one!
