What happens on the day
Cheese, wine, and candle-making – this Boston combo has it all!
At Formaggio Kitchen, you’ll sample a curated selection of gourmet cheeses, accompaniments, and wines guided by an expert cheesemonger. Learn the stories, tasting notes, and pairing secrets behind each selection. Then, enjoy a private shopping consultation, where you can ask questions, get pairing tips, and explore unique offerings.
Additionally, you’ll learn how to design and create a high-quality, non-toxic candle at Sky Candle Co. in Boston’s South End. With an expert leading the way, you’ll explore over 50 premium fragrances before placing your lead-free cotton wick and carefully pouring your custom blend of 100% soy wax.
After pouring, your candle will need about two to three hours to fully set. Once it’s ready, you’ll head home with your one-of-a-kind, ready-to-light masterpiece!

Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!

Formaggio Kitchen and the Custom Candle Workshop are located about 0.4-miles apart (a 10-minute walk).
Cheese, Wine, and Shopping Experience
- Participants must be at least 21 years old and bring their valid photo ID
- Guests can expect a snack-sized portion of cheese (about 4 ounces total) and tasting-sized pours of wine (about 2 ounces per glass)
- Additional cheese and other products are not included, but can be purchased separately from the shop
- This experience requires participants to stand. Chairs can be requested but are not guaranteed
Custom Candle Workshop - South End
- Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult
- Your candle will need to sit for 2 to 3 hours before it can be taken home
- Shipping is not included, but can be purchased separately at the venue

Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
Custom Candle Workshop - South End
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 48 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
