Your 75-minute cruise kicks off at Navy Pier, where you'll be welcomed aboard the majestic Tall Ship Windy, a 148-foot, traditional four-masted gaff topsail schooner. With an expert captain and crew guiding her through the waters of Lake Michigan, you'll enjoy some of the best views around.
But the adventure doesn’t end there! At Flyover, you’ll embark on a multi-part immersive journey, totaling 30 minutes from start to finish. First, you’ll connect with the city on the ground through a pre-show capturing the people and culture of the Windy City.
Then, you’ll discover Chicago from a whole new perspective, as Flyover transports you over, around, and through remarkable locations. You’ll sit suspended, feet dangling, in front of a 60-foot spherical screen. You won’t believe your eyes as the seats move in perfect sync with wind, mist, and scents, making it feel like you truly are flying!

The Lake Michigan Cruise and Flyover Chicago are located about a 1-minute apart.
Lake Michigan Cruise
- The Tall Ship Windy is not handicap accessible
- Guests must be able to navigate 6 steps on each side of the boarding ladder and walk to their seats with minimal assistance
- Scooters, wheelchairs, and rolling walkers are not permitted on board
Flyover Chicago
- Participants must be at least 40" tall to ride
- Children ages 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian aged 14 years or older
- Flyover Chicago is wheelchair accessible
- No outside food or drinks are permitted
- This experience is not recommended for individuals with a fear of heights, motion sickness, or conditions aggravated by flashing lights
