What happens on the day
Step up to the challenge and excitement of rafting the Upper and Middle Ocoee River through Tennessee's Cherokee National Forest!
The Upper Ocoee's rapids are solid Class IV and they feature the biggest drops on the river, high ledge drops, powerful holes, and stunning scenery. Feel the rush as you run the Olympic Section--a quarter mile slalom course of the most challenging whitewater on the river, highlighted by the Class IV rapid "Humongous".
The day begins with your group meeting your guides at the outpost. Your guide will help you gear up, run through safety and answer questions before you are transported to the river put in. At the river, your guide will run you through paddling techniques, and you will load into your raft to start your thrilling ride down the river. At about the halfway point of your river trip, you will pull of to enjoy a riverside lunch.
Rafting the Middle and Upper Ocoee is one of the greatest full-day rafting experience in the United States!

When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!

Important Details
Essential Information
- Participants must be at least 13 years of age
- All trips on the Ocoee include shuttle to and from the river and Ocoee outpost, paddle and self-bailing rafts, USCG-approved Type V Personal Floatation Device, paddling jackets and pants if wanted, and wetsuits in cooler weather. Helmets are required on the Ocoee and are provided.

What is included with this trip?

The Middle Ocoee is considered an advanced rafting experience. Participants must be at least 13 years of age.
Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations
Returns
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 14 days prior to the Experience. Failure to appear on your booked date, cancel, or reschedule at least 14 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your Experience.

The rafting trip was amazing! The guides were experienced and gave us a safe fun day! The only tip I have is to follow your GPS to the address given and do not take the written directions given in the confirmation email, this will take you to their old outpost. Luckily there were people there to tell us where to go and call the outpost to let them know what had happened and that we were on our way. This mix up caused us to be a little late and stressed us out prior to our trip.
