Are all the ingredients included?
Yes! Each box comes with pre-portioned ingredients to create delicious, well-balanced meals for the week. The only ingredients you'll need from your pantry are salt, pepper, and olive oil.
What if I'm not home during delivery?
No problem! Typically, your shipping carrier will leave the order on your doorstep. All Blue Apron boxes are packed with ice packs and insulated liners so your food will stay fresh during transit and for several hours after delivery. Just unpack the box when you get home!
Do I get to choose my recipes?
Yes, you are able to customize your recipes each week based on your dietary preferences. A default menu will be selected for you within your account but you are welcome to log in to blueapron.com and tweak the selections. There will be 8 meals to choose from each week!
What if I don't like any of the recipes available?
No problem! You are welcome to skip a week or two, no questions asked, if you aren't pleased with the menu choices or you are heading out of town. Just make sure you skip the delivery before the "changeable before" date for that delivery. You can manage this by visiting the "Upcoming" page within your Blue Apron member account.
Are you able to accommodate food allergies?
At this time, Blue Apron does not offer specific dietary plans, with the exception of the 2-Person Vegetarian Plan. However, many recipes can be adjusted by making simple at-home substitutions. If you can’t find an exact menu that works for you, you can make an appropriate ingredient substitution or choose to skip that delivery.
All allergen information is available online approximately 3 weeks prior to your shipment. Great care is taken to prepare food safely, but all ingredients are produced in a facility that also processes milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soy.
Will I need to sign up for a Blue Apron member account?
If you are not already a member, you will be required to sign up for membership. This may require inputting your credit card information. Please note -- it is the recipient's responsibility to cancel future, recurring Blue Apron deliveries once the gift voucher value has been depleted.
Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Prior to redeeming your Virgin Gifts Voucher for your Blue Apron Meal Delivery Plan, Virgin Gifts's standard return and exchange policy shall apply. This includes the ability to exchange this gift for any other gift or experience offered by Virgin Gifts. However, once you have redeemed your Virgin Gifts Voucher and been issued a Blue Apron Voucher Number, you will no longer be able to exchange your Blue Apron Meal Delivery Plan for another Virgin Gifts experience, and no refunds will be given.
