What happens on the day
Looking to explore the amazing landscape of East Zion in an off-road vehicle? Hop aboard a 4x4 Jeep and explore the rugged terrain on this 1.5-hour open-air adventure.
Ease into your trip with a relaxing drive along a smooth road to the trail head. Sit back and relax as the wind blows softly through the open-sided Jeep. Your experienced guide/driver will share about the area’s history and give you the general lay of the land as you drive past some of the smaller canyons that make up Zion National Park.
Once you hit the trail, hold on tight because you’ll be crawling over boulders and ascending 1,500 feet in elevation up steep switchbacks in order to arrive at your midpoint stop. Take in gorgeous mountain views of the West Temple, Checkerboard Mesa, the Narrows, among other prominent Zion landmarks.
Enjoy snacks and water as you snap photos, then hop back into the Jeep and continue on your journey with a steep descent down the mountain. Learn about the century-old ponderosa pine trees along the way and keep an eye out for wildlife like mule deer, wild turkey, elk, and maybe even a mountain lion or bear!
