Last year we had a great experience at Shelby Farms horseback riding and decided to do it again this year. This not around it wasn’t as amazing. We signed up for a two hour ride but when we got there, they told us it was too hot and we would only do one hour. Totally understandable as we don’t want to overwork the animals in the heat. The only issue was, it wasn’t that hot and the entire ride is in the shade. It was clear that ladies wanted to pack up shop and be out early. The horses were a bit slow and lazy. If you’re looking for a slow paced, uneventful day this is it. Our guide was very kind and knowledgeable about the horses, she deserves an A+. Won’t be going back.
